Background and Education    |    Get to Know Eric ⇓

Eric Alexander Ramos is a San Antonio native and local personal injury attorney. After graduating from Antonian High School, Eric attended Texas A&M University in College Station where he received a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from the Dwight Look College of Engineering. After graduation, Eric and his good friend Joe started a medical personnel staffing company. After receiving their first contract to staff medical personnel at military treatment facilities, the company expanded it’s local reach and provided jobs ranging from medical doctors to medical support staff right here in San Antonio. Although his career kept him busy, Eric couldn’t ignore his lifelong dream of advocating for the rights of others through the practice of law.

Following his passion, Eric applied and was accepted to St. Mary’s School of Law. During his first year, he was one of a small percentage of law students invited to join the prestigious St. Mary’s Law Journal as a staff writer. Throughout his law school career, Eric placed on the Dean’s List multiple times, became a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society, and upon graduating Cum Laude he was inducted to the John M. Harlan Legal Honor Society — an honor reserved for the top 10% of the graduating class.

When Eric is not focusing on client representation, he is passionate about volunteering. He began in high school where he started and led school-wide volunteer organizations. Throughout law school and his legal career, he has volunteered at multiple legal community service events involving immigration, veteran’s issues, and disaster relief.

Outside of the office is where Eric finds his greatest joy in life – raising his son Carter with wife Chelsea and Carter’s big hairy brother, Remington the Golden Doodle.

Get to Know Eric – Q&A

Q: What motivates you to provide such a high level of service to your clients?

“I know what it’s like to lose a loved one in a car accident. Losing a family member or getting seriously injured injects a level of chaos into your life that you can never be ready for. I try to do whatever is necessary so my clients can care for themselves and their families without having to worry about the legal implications of their tragedy. At my office, we are proud to offer compassionate and comprehensive care — for injured clients, we will arrange transportation, medical treatment, after-hours appointments, and anything else our clients may require.”

Q: What Sets You Apart from Other Lawyers?

“I’ve been told I have a rare tenacity. Some good friends I made in the business world call me “young man in a hurry.” By that, they mean that when I focus my attention on something, I really sink my teeth in and don’t let go. I want great results in everything I do – and I want to achieve positive outcomes without delay.  When someone entrusts me to represent them in the practice of law, I don’t take it lightly. I work non-stop and strive for perfection. I want my clients to be proud to call me their attorney.

In addition, I only practice plaintiffs-side personal injury law. I am also ready and willing to go to court at any time to argue motions, defend motions, or try a case. While people commonly assume that lawyers live in the courthouse like we see on tv, in reality, only a small percentage of lawyers ever step foot in the courtroom.”

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you would give to someone in need of legal help?

“That depends on the situation. Before I can give any advice, I need to listen. It’s important to get to know the person and hear their story. I want to know what outcomes my clients seek — other than recovering compensation. If I had to give someone advice on selecting counsel, it would be to take the time to find a lawyer that’s the right fit for you and your legal matter. It’s not always best to go with the first attorney you talk to or the one you see on TV. Find someone you’re comfortable with and confident in, who is not only willing, but eager to fight for you.”
